It is always an awesome task to examine a birth chart and try to capture the essence of another human being.
It is particularly daunting to do so with such a famous figure as the President of the United States. President
Bush's chart has been discussed in every system, style, and "every which way, but loose!" I'm going to try to be
"loose" and just note what stands out to me.
With all the planets on the Eastern half of the chart, it is safe to say that he is a self starter and not terribly
influenced by what others think or say. However, that gets him into hot water frequently because Saturn, the
co-ruler of the 7th house, is in the 12th house of disappointment. Partnerships and, perhaps, marriage can be
stifling situations for him. Yet, Uranus, another co-ruler of the 7th is conjunct the North Node in the 11th house
of friends, sextile Venus and trine Chiron, Moon, and Jupiter. He's a lucky guy in his friendships and the
women in his life.
His Cancer Sun, ruler of his chart, is in the 12th house of "bigger than life" as well as disappointment, and
conjuncts the Sun of the United States chart. To be a leader of this country is his destiny as we note that his
Sun is semi-square the fixed star, Regulus, in Leo.
I think it is very interesting that the 12th house is regarded by some to indicate something "hidden and secret".
Any visable planet in the 12th house is bigger than life, right out there, and appearing larger than in any other
place in the chart. We could certainly say that planets in the 12th house are distorted, overblown, and prone to
self-undoing, but not hidden or secret. People with 12th house Suns may try to keep secret and hidden, but it
is almost impossible to do so.
President Bush's locomotive pattern begins with Uranus and ends with Jupiter in the gift of a trine aspect so,
using keywords, we might say that his efforts usually result in surprising (Uranus) good fortune (Jupiter). But,
looking at this again we have to remember that the South Node is there at 19 degrees of Libra and is the
caboose of the Locomotive pattern. He may depend on his luck a bit more than necessary. He needs to listen
to his friends and partners more than to his own rational Libra Moon conjunct Jupiter which tends to make him
trust his own philosophy and emotions rather than compromise occasionally,
His karmic ties may include these birthdays: April 16-18; July 19-21; October 19-21; January 17-19.
One born between October 13-15 could, possibly, be connected with a difficult karmic lesson this lifetime. All
of this information depends upon whether one believes in karma and such.
