Those 'hazy, lazy, crazy days of Summer' are here! It's so hot you could cook on the sidewalk.
The four seasonal charts of the equinoxes and solstices each project the next three months of a Season.
For example; this chart lasts until the Autumnal Equinox in September. It speaks about the Summer
Season in Washington, D.C.; the aura or mode of the government in Washington. The charts are only as
good as the person reading them and, as I don't claim to be an expert in mundane astrology, I keep it
simple.
Note that I have the applying aspects (A) on the top-left of the chart. These are the aspects coming into
play the next three months. The separating aspects (S) are waning or losing power as they separate. Of
course there are more applying aspects than the Sun and one can look them up on the aspect chart. For
the purpose of this column, I'll just discuss the Sun aspects.
So, Cancer, Leo, and Virgo are spotlighted during this Summer Season. Today is the longest day of the
year with more Sunlight the further North one travels. The Sun will be appearing to 'stand still' for a few
days when it rises in the Northeast at the same point and set at the same point in the Northwest. Then, day
by day it will rise further Southeast each day and set further Southeast until we have equal days and nights
at the Autumnal Equinox. This will be exactly opposite at latitudes below the equator. ALL ABOUT IT!
Sun semisquare Venus and Mars denotes a concern over our relations with foreign countries; probably
Iran and North Korea first and foremost. Aries rules our citizens and Libra rules foreign countries. With
their rulers conjunct on the 2nd House cusp, money and assets are always an underlying issue.
Saturn rules the 10th House of the President and shows his main concerns are health care (in the 6th
House) and getting people back to work. With the applying trines to Venus and Mars on 2nd house cusp, it
looks like he'll be in for some successes within the next three months.
With the Sun (President) in the 3rd House of communication going for an opposition to Pluto (power,
manipulation, tyrants) in the 9th House of foreign affairs , we can see what chore our President has in front
of him during the next three months. God bless President Obama and God bless America
