Capricorn new Moon Journal 2
Cancer Full Moon
Sat; Jan 10, 2009                                                                    Keywords:  Signed, sealed, and delivered!
Saturday morning:  I'm trying to get my pages finished because I have to go to town to exchange my
books at the 2nd hand book store; must get my sleepytime reading set up for the week.  Then I need to
fight the traffic to Walmarts...ugh why do I wait until Saturday?

It is so cloudy out this morning; I wonder if I will be able to see the full Moon tonight?  Hmmm, got a lot of
questions today.

The chart for the full Moon tonight is very interesting.  YODs always give opportunities if one is ready to
compromise.  We are still in the Gibbous phase if anyone wants to edit, refine, or adjust your intentions.
This is a great full Moon for healing and it will be exact tonight at 10:27 pm EST.
So that you won't be confused, some people call this full Moon,
"Capricorn full Moon," which is
probably correct, although I call it Cancer full Moon.

I'll be meditating at 8 pm with one group
(Children of the Sun)  and with another group at the exact time
of the full Moon:

Sun Jan 11, 2009.  I just noticed that if you reduce all the date numbers, you come out with 1, 11, 1; well
actually, it would be 1/2/2 or 5. Ye gods, it's too early for me.

I did get to see the Moon last night; it was beautiful with all the clouds passing by.                        Lily, my
angel dog, woke me up early this morning to let her out. Now she's sleeping and                         I'm awake.
Thurs Jan 15, 2009.  I've been lax writing in my journal, but not much of anything is happening.  This
weekend I'll be working at Habitat for Humanity on Saturday and Sunday.  Our group is now called
UNITED FOR CHANGE CHOCTAWHATCHEE BAY.  This weekend is a
Call to Service before the
inauguration on the 20th.

Well, this has been a most disappointing day.  I worked all yesterday making Italian roast beef, letting it
cool, slicing it, and reheating it this morning.  I baked bread, heated everything, and with all my food for
18 people, utensils, plates, napkins, and garbage bags packed in my trunk, I headed out for the Habitat
for Humanity with map and address in hand. After passing between the two streets a half dozen times
and calling our leader twice, I finally gave up and came home.  I couldn't find the place.

I called our leader again when I got home and left a message that I would come back if someone would
give me exact directions, but I got no return call. So here I am with a pot load of Italian beef, gravy, bread,
and peppers and nobody to feed. Oh well, maybe Monday I'll find it.

Sun Jan 18, 2009.
I found out last night from our leader where I went wrong in trying to find the place.  Now, I'll take
everything back tomorrow, Monday, on our day of service.  We're still working on the outside
landscaping until it's warm enough to paint outside.  Lori, our leader, says that we made a commitment
to work every Saturday from 11am to 4pm until the place is finished and the first people start moving in.  I
feel good about this as now I have something to work for in our community and that will bless some
people in need. I may even cook there sometimes when they have a need.

I used to cook one day a week for the Baptist Mission in downtown Fort Walton Beach.  I did that for two
years as a Snowbird.  It was really something that made me feel that I was serving.  But I think
sometimes we long-time marrieds don't realize that our small day to day service for our family is
important, too.  It becomes so routine and boring over the long haul and doesn't seem as appreciated as
we feel we need.  I really have to work on that feeling a lot.

Wed; Jan 21, 2009.  What a day.  One of my best girlfriends came to town from Minn. and wanted to
play bridge at the regional ACBL bridge tourney in Sandestin.  After watching the inauguration until I
dropped yesterday, I hated to get up at 6:30 to make the trip, but it was worth it.  We played in knockouts
and won three out of four sets, BUT it's continues through Saturday, if you win.  I've taken on the job of
hospitality for our Unity for Change group every Saturday until we get this job done and the project
opened for the homeless. Maybe we'll be knocked out before Saturday; maybe.

Wasn't yesterday a GAS!  OMG, Michelle looked soooooo good and Bo was simply perfect.  I did a
whole page on it.  See:
The moment that defines history!  I'm just going to call him Bo until someone
tells me to, "hush!"

BTW, I have to get up at 6:30 again tomorrow and bring my lunch.  Lunch there cost $13.  Ye gods, for a
sandwich, cup of bean soup, and a diet coke.
