Crescent Phase of Cancer Solar Eclipse
Sat. July 25, 2009.                                                                 Keywords:  Intentions, wishes, hopes.
The crescent phase of the Moon begins at the semisquare of the Moon to the Sun and ends at the 90º
square.  A semisquare is 45º and is calculated by dividing the 360º circle by 8.  We could say that it
begins with resistance (45º) and ends with a fresh action (90º).  If the crescent semisquare is the
intention, the square is the action; then the sesquare (135º) is the reaction towards the action.

How do you figure the semisquare when it isn't apparent?  Below are the rules:

If the degree of the planet is lower than 15, add 15 to it and go up a quality. (The qualities are cardinal,
fixed, and mutable.) If the planet is higher than 15, subtract 15 and go back a quality.  It's always easier
to add, so let's take the Leo Sun at 2º and add 15 to it.  The total is 17º and we go up a quality to mutable
which is Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces.  From Leo Sun at 2º, a semisquare would be Virgo 17º
which the Moon is ( 17º Gemini is also a semisquare). The two opposite Mutable Signs, Pisces and
Sagittarius, are 135º sesquadrates.

This Leo crescent phase comes after the Cancer 29º solar eclipse. Things can be dicey for this whole
Lunar phase of 29 days. The ruler of the chart is the Moon and it's rushing right into Saturn on the cusp of
the 4th House of real estate.  More foreclosures this week.

With two ominous T-squares in the chart and Mercury closing in on an opposition to Jupiter, this
weekend may not be too pleasant. Although the triAquarians are trining Venus showing some possible
entertaining this weekend for the President, he's going through some mental changes brought on by his
advisors that don't sit too well with him.  He's concerned about costs and assets at this time.  The
citizens are worried about paying their rent, mortgages, and daily bills.

It's time to enjoy the moment,  attend worship on Sunday if that's your way, and realize that one can only
do what one can do.  Consider the lilies of the field...
