Crescent Phase of TAURUS new Moon
Tuesday April 28, 2009.                                                             Keywords:  Intentions, hopes, blueprints.
The crescent phase of the Moon begins at the semisquare of the Moon to the Sun and ends at the 90º
square.  A semisquare is 45º and is calculated by dividing the 360º circle by 8.  We could say that it
begins with resistance (45º) and ends with a fresh action (90º).  If the crescent semisquare is the
intention, the square is the action; then the sesquare (135º) is the reaction towards the action.

Today's Crescent phase is set up for Washington, D.C.

Remembering that Mercury, the ruler of the 7th House of "other country's citizens,"  was in the 6th House
of health in the Taurus new Moon chart, today's ruler, Mercury, is right on the Ascendant from the 12th
house.  This could indicate health concerns close to home and concerning our own citizens.

The semisquare of the Moon to Sun is followed by the 60º sextile which provides an opportunity, then
resolves into the 90º action square of the First Quarter.  From new Moon to First Quarter takes a week.
We need to be working very hard on solving this possible pandemic situation of swine flu.  Everyone
needs to be vigilant.  If one feels symptoms of cold or flu, please stay home until well.  One's job is never
as important as spreading this illness to others.

My hopes for this is that the swine flu is contained and on its way out by Cinco de Mayo. The full Moon of
Wesak is four days later on the 9th of May.

One of the most interesting things about this chart is the pattern formed between Mercury, Saturn, and
Pluto.  I wasn't too much aware that patterns could form outside of numerical series like 2, 4, 8, and 3.
But, here we have Saturn in tredecile to Mercury and Pluto while they are in biquintile. Robert Wilkinson
calls the tredecile, "serendipity!" He says it's a "complementary angle to the Quintile." The five series of
Quintiles denote creativity.  Saturn/Pluto = Mercury indicates an "urge to do research...the desire to solve
serious problems."   This is according to Ebertin's
The Combination of Stellar Influences.

We could paraphrase the above as, "need provides an opportunity to find a creative solution to this
possible pandemic of swine flu and may come through a serendipitous discovery."
