Disseminating Phase of the Aquarius Full Moon
Aug. 9, 2009.                                                                         Keywords:  Sharing, teaching, enthusiasm
The disseminating Moon begins with a sesquare of 135 degrees, then produces a trine of 120
degrees; on down to a 90 degree square. Actually this sesquare (sesquiquadrate) is not as
difficult as some; the Sun and Moon are both in the Fire element.

Some call this lunar phase, the disseminating Moon of Cancer new Moon and some call it,
disseminating Moon of Aquarius Full Moon. Actually it should be the disseminating Moon of the
Leo new Moon, but the new and full Moons are switched until October 2010.  The Leo new
Moon falls after the Aquarius Full Moon eclipse this month.

The more difficult sesquares form in qualities that irritate; fire to earth and air to water; much
like the gibbous phase. The makeup of the sesquadrate is always difficult because it contains
within the basic semisquare and the troublesome square (45 +90 =135). However, there are a
few differences between the sesquare of the gibbous (waxing Moon)  phase and that of the
disseminating (waning Moon) phase. You can tell the difference between the waxing (growing
larger) gibbous Moon and the waning (growing smaller) disseminating Moon as the
disseminating Moon grows smaller by squishing in at the right side.  The waxing Moon looks
squished in on the left side.  Not very scientific, but it works.

The gibbous phase sesquare is still unsettled and incomplete.  It has the difficult adjustment
aspect of the quincunx to pass through before the full Moon.

The disseminating phase comes from a finished product of the full Moon and it is during this
three day cycle that a trine appears and makes the sailing a bit smoother.  What makes it
difficult at first is the reaction that we have to share and teach with enthusiasm. This chart is in
effect until Thursday next week, with the trine falling on Tuesday about 4am EDT.

During this time, we're supposed to be sharing what we've discovered through the past two
week process of intention to fulfillment.  In today's chart I've added the three asteroids, Juno,
Pallas, and Vesta, as well as the dwarf planet, Ceres.  These bodies all represent the feminine
principles which have been suppressed and still are in some cultures. Legend has it that Venus
hit the planet M on her volcanic travel to her present orbit and broke it into pieces as well as
created 12 Signs out of the existing 10. The Moon and Venus were the only Feminine principles
up until this time when the asteroids are recognized as such.

Ceres represents the Great Mother principle; Juno, the wife, Vesta, the sister; Pallas,  the
father's daughter.  Read this
article for a good description of each.

It's interesting that Ceres has moved into Libra in time for the Aries Moon to oppose her.  Two
female principles opposing in angular Houses (angular = 1st, 7th, 4th, 10th) could mean that
there has arisen a maternal feeling or awareness among some women who, perhaps, would
love to be more with their children and families instead of working outside the home. Even
Juno, the fuzzy headed gylph, at 4º Aries is getting into the picture and they all square Pluto,
the tyrant, whom Venus opposed last week.  We have a grand cardinal cross here; feelings are
running strong for the next few days with nearly all the feminine wife, partner, and mother
bodies involved and concerned.
