Gibbous Phase
The gibbous phase of the Cancer new Moon sneaks in during the wee hours.  This format of the chart with the aspects
shows the A (applying) and S (separating) aspects. Note that the Sun and Moon are 0 00'degrees from a sesquare or, if
you prefer, a sesquiquadrate of 135 degrees. Figuring semisquares and sesquares can be difficult, but there is a trick
to it.  See:
Some Great Things My Teachers Taught.

It's interesting to note the aspects that both Sun and Moon make to the planets; both make hard aspects to Saturn and
Mars, who are conjunct, but separating. Let's be glad when those two are totally separated.  The playground is not
much fun when they're together.

Venus is moving away from conjuncting the Sun and out of Sign, but still in orb and the Moon is quickly moving out of
her fire trine to Venus.  By the time we get up this morning, she'll be long gone into the 2nd decan of Sagittarius.

The Gibbous phase of the Moon calls for refining and polishing our intentions.  Once we've lived through the action of
the square and gift of the trine (in the first quarter phase), we may find that we've cut off more than me can chew in our
intentions or not gone far enough. This is the time when we make some minor adjustments to our intentions. With the
gibbous Moon in the idealistic Sign of Sagittarius, we remember to make our goals to the best for all concerned.
