Lectio Divina (Shared in Community)

Meeting On the Sabbath (Saturdays) at 6pm CST, 5pm EST, 4pm PST, 11pm GT

(A) Listening for the Gentle Touch of Christ the Word

1. Admin types the passage of scripture, as others are attentive to some segment that is especially
meaningful to them.

2. Silence for 1-2 minutes. Each reads and
silently repeats a word or phrase that attracts.

3. Sharing: [A word or phrase that has attracted each person]. A simple statement of one or a few words.
No elaboration.

(B) How Christ the Word speaks to ME

4. Second reading of the same passage.

5. Silence for 2-3 minutes. Reflect on “Where does the content of this reading touch my life today?”

6. Sharing: Briefly: “ I see, I feel...”

(C) What Christ the Word Invites me to DO

7. Third reading of the same passage.

8. Silence for 2-3 minutes. Reflect on “I believe that God wants me to . . . today/this week.”

9. Sharing: at somewhat greater length the results of each one's reflection.

10. After full sharing, pray for the person below your name; the last in line prays for me, Admin.

Lord, bless (Name) with whatever you know is needed at this time. Amen

Note: Anyone may “pass” at any time. If instead of sharing with the group you prefer to pray silently,
simply type, pass, and conclude your silent prayer with Amen.

The Gospel of Thomas

These are the hidden words that the living Jesus spoke,
and that Didymos Judas Thomas wrote down.

And He said:
1.
"Whoever finds the meaning of these words will not taste death."
