Fri Dec 19, 2008.  I think that I have finished nearly everything for Christmas except sending my e-mail
cards for Hanakuh and Christmas.  My daughter-in-law, Carol, has a birthday on the 26th and my niece,
Susan, has one on the 29th.  I asked Carol what she wanted me to make for her birthday and we agreed
on prime rib 'n gravy, garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus, waldorf salad, rolls, birthday cake, and ice
cream.

Then we talked over Christmas Day Brunch menu.  I'm making crustless Quiche, country sausage balls,
Challah bread French toast, a baked spiral ham, and Michelle Obama's Shortbread Cookies. YUM.

I'm getting in the spirit of Christmas this year.  I think it's because I don't do as much as I used to do.  I
give money for presents to all but the ones under 13 years old and that really makes it easier for me. I
don't send out Christmas cards in the mail anymore.  That used to drive me up the wall; never seemed to
have enough time.  I release, let go of, and am grateful for all the work I used to do at Christmas!

Sagittarius new Moon Journal II
Gemini Full Moon
December 12, 2008.                                                                    Keywords; Signed, sealed, & delivered!
The Moon last night was what is called a "super full moon!"  READALLABOUTIT!  For me, it's conjunct my
Chiron in the 6th house, trine my Venus, and I expect a "super healing!" Venus rules my 3rd, 4th, 5th, and
9th Houses, as well as my Sun, Moon, and decan of my Ascendant.  I'm ready!!!

The full Moon is a perfect time to start a diet; as the Moon wanes and decreases, so can we! Give it a try
for the next two weeks. I'll keep you posted on my progress. Weight 163 and sugar 241 this morning. I
think, for me, it is good to keep my diet as part of my journal.  Surely shame will keep me motivated?
I drink green tea with antioxidants a couple of times a day.  Right now I'm using Salada green tea with
red and with purple antioxidants. I'll switch brands after these are gone.

Anyone who wants to join me online, send me an e-mail and I'll post your news.

Don't forget to look at the Moon as it rises 50' later each night and grows smaller and smaller over the
next two week.   Blessings to us all as we grow smaller.
Back to Balsamic Moon
Sun Dec 14, 2008.  It's our time now!! (Change is Coming) (An e-mail invitation from Obama/Biden)
It's time to continue the movement we started in the Fort Walton Beach/Okaloosa County area
over the last few months by keeping the momentum alive. Come and share an afternoon of
reflection, intention, suggestion, and action by focusing on our needs and how to move them
in the right direction!
Time: Sunday, December 14 from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
I'm really excited to be going to this Obama/Biden event this afternoon.  For the first time in my life I feel
as if I'm connected to what is going on politically in this country. For the past two years I've been hoping
to see Obama in the White House and now it's going to happen. Wow! See:
OBAMA
Yesterday was a great meeting for Change for America; Okaloosa County which is what we named
ourselves.  Here is a picture of the group.
I was taking the picture, so I'm not in it. There are two more groups in Northwest Florida; one in
Navarre area and another in Pensacola area which are different counties. I'm excited to be a part of
this group.  It's the first time that I've been involved in any political activities although many in this group
are very active.  This is really exciting for me.

Now to bad news and good news:  Bad news is I gained a pound to 164 and good news is that my
sugar is 216 for a loss of 25 points. Glimepiride is a tradeoff medication; it leads to weight gain, but
lowers sugar dramatically. I have to work harder.
Tues Dec 16, 2008.  Ok, no more today about diet OR Obama.  I ate two bowls of candy corn
yesterday and really know how to sabotage myself.  I've practiced for 71 years!

Today is so gloomy on the Emerald Coast; the news is gloomy; I'm gloomy; everyone I talk to is
gloomy. I'm going to eat worms.

Wed Dec 17, 2008.  The sun just came out at 9am here on the
Emerald Coast.  Hope the gloominess is over! I'm trying to get all my
pages lined up for the next few days; coming is Winter Solstice,
Capricorn Sign of the times, and new Moon almost 1_2_3 in a row.
Thurs Dec 18, 2008.  I love the Farmer's Almanac.  I used to read it as a kid; probably where I got
really interested in Astrology although I was aware of that at the age of five.

Today I received my Winter Solstice issue in my e-mail.  I'd love to share it.  The Farmer's Almanac
has so many interesting reads in it.  I hope you love it as much as I do.  This issue talks about the
WINTER SOLSTICE!
We are three days before the Winter Solstice and it brings back memories of when we
used to live at the beach (which is the only place in the country where one can see both a
Sunrise and a Sunset. (I'm not sure about the tip of Miami or the Keys).

Anyway, when we arrived at the beach in November, I started making little magic marker
dots on the picture window at the points of Sunrise and Sunset. It made a perfect graphic of
the Sun's motion as seen on earth. I can't imagine what the maid thought when she came to
clean the condo after we left!

The holiday, Christmas, was proclaimed by the early Christian Fathers and, as usual, it took
the place of an old Roman celebration, Saturnalia.

Sat Dec 20, 2008.  Made my first batch of Michelle Obama's shortbread cookie recipe last night.  OMG,
they are to die for!  I packed a dozen in little tins with her recipe inside for a few of my neighbors.  I think I
will make some for the next
Change for America meeting we'll have in January.
Sun Dec 21, 2008.  Today is the Winter Solstice and the beginning of an ancient calendar year. This
morning I did this meditation
HERE and wished all my friends, relatives, neighbors, and the world many
blessings in the coming year.  It is good to know the history of some of the  ancient and modern holidays.
 Here is one about the
WINTER SOLSTICE.
BALSAMIC Phase of the Moon
Tues Dec 23, 2008                                                                    Keywords: surrender, rest, recuperation.
Two more days until Christmas. I have a humongous amount of food to cook tomorrow.  Speaking of
food, I'm waiting until the next full Moon in Cancer to diet. This one has been a big bust!  I have no
shame. Ah well, it was a great idea anyway; looked good on paper.  Who am I kidding?

I'm reading my friend Henry Reed's new book,
Future Consciousness, A 2012 Omni Reader. It's
absolutely fantastic; a beautiful anthology.  You can get it at
lulu.com

Also today I found a wonderful Astrologer online called Elizabeth Spring.  She has a blog that talks
about the
North node in the Signs and Houses.  I read about North node in the 12th which is where
mine is, or on the cusp. I had never quite gotten a handle on it until reading her analysis.
Wed Dec 24, 2008.  I've been going over my website this morning and found that my THESIS page was
out of commission.  Not sure that anyone would want to read it, but it took me over a year to write it and,
by gosh, I want it on here.  LOL... it's a big part of me and my experience at Atlantic University was,
probably, the most enjoyable of my life. At least, it's the only experience I would like to live over again.
Welllll, maybe there's another one I'd consider redoing...
