TAURUS New Moon Journal
Friday April 24, 2009.                                                 Keywords:  Beginnings, fresh starts, blank pages.
Here we are in my month of Taurus, the last 10 days of April and 20 days in MAY.   I love TAURUS.  It's the
best month of the year almost everywhere and it's my birthday month. It was my Mother's birthday month
and all Mother's Day month, my Grandmother's birthday month, my Great grandmother's birthday month
and one of my granddaughter's birthday month. See last year's
TAURUS.

Taurus is the Sign of patience, practicality, persistence, and property. (I love alliteration!)  For me, however,
having both of my rulers, Saturn and Venus, in Aries, those virtues have been hard lessons over the years.

Some think Taurus is a dull Sign and not too intelligent.  I beg to differ; some of the smartest people I have
known are Taurus and, believe me, they aren't dull or dumb.  But, being between the birthdays of Aries and
Gemini, they may not be as loud, demanding, or wordy. So, they may be looked on as unexciting and slow.

As with all 12 Signs, we must be careful not to judge by stereotypes.  Although the 12 Signs are 12 types,
their birthchart divides the types into 539,370,750, 000,000,000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000
according to Myrna Loftus.

I have three days to make my new Moon intentions; I always have to think about it a while before doing so.
Back to First Quarter Moon
Monday April 27, 2009.  This has been the bloodiest weekend in my Southern neck of the woods for a
long time.  We've had at least three shootings since Friday and two deputy sheriffs were killed in a
shootout on Saturday, April 25th. The gunman was also killed. This happened in my Florida county.

Another deputy in Headland, AL is still in the hospital from a gunshot wound and his attacker was killed.

Up the pike from there a professor in Athens, GA killed his wife and two men; then disappeared.

Over in VA a former college student at Hampton University shot a night manager and a pizza delivery man
before he shot himself.

On and on it goes...I hate the News!

I've been looking over the Taurus new Moon chart wondering what may show the swine flu outbreak;
remembering that the chart does not cause anything, it reflects.  I noted that Mercury was the ruler of 7th
House "other country's citizens" and it was at a very poignant degree of the fixed star, Algol, in the 6th
House of health. Mercury on Algol is squaring the two health related planets of Chiron and Neptune as well
as Jupiter, which doesn't know how to stop giving. With a sprinkle of salt, read the scary description of
Algol
HERE.

We have had a small outbreak in the U.S., but mainly it has been in Mexico.  My intention for this month will
be for all those with that terrible flu and may it be gone by Cinco de Mayo so that we all truly have
something to celebrate in the here and now.

My intentions for this Lunar Cycle is to meditate, pray, and hope that this swine flu abates before the full
Moon of Wesak.  The full Moon is due at 12:01 am EDT on the 9th, but 11:01 pm CDT, 10:01 pm MDT,
9:01 pm PDT on May 8th.  In England it will be the 9th of May at 4:01am, Greenwich Time.  The time to
meditate and be with all those hoping and praying for humanity's evolving is the 8th in U.S. from the time
the Moon appears until whenever. The blessing will be given forth at one minute after midnight in
Washington, D.C.
HERE, is where one can follow the thoughts of that time.
First Quarter Moon
Friday May 1, 2009.                                                                Keywords:  Challenges, decisions, action.
When I was in grade school, the last graduating class was the 6th grade.  We always had a may pole
dance with the graduating 6th graders and a king and queen were chosen by the teachers and a first
attendant pair.  Even though this was 60 years ago, I still remember that Janet Sue Rebstein was the
Queen and David Savage was the King our year. Funny, but they were the tallest pair in our class, too!  I
was the first attendant along with Brad Clark, my partner.  I have pictures around here somewhere.

This was a big deal in our little town of Park Hills, KY.  We were graduating from our little school to the
big high school, Dixie Heights, where the 7th and 8th graders were simply tolerated, looked over, and
dismissed as little kids.

Ah, memories come flashing through my old brain.  I remember those people so well and haven't seen
them since 1952. Ye gods, that's 57 years. I left Dixie Heights after my freshman year to go to Holy
Cross High School in Latonia, KY. Interesting how we change our destinies at such an early age.
Cinco de Mayo, 2009.  Here we are at a Mexican holiday that was celebrated vigorously every year, not
only in Mexico, but here in the United States.  This year, probably, not so much because of the flu scare.

I'm rather in a funk right now.  The weather has been stormy and I've just followed along with it. Not much
to say right now. B L A A A A  H.

I was just thinking about the Gibbous Moon chart with the rulers of the 1st and 7th in the 12th House;
Venus and Mars (co-ruler of Scorpio with Pluto).  Could that be citizens being held against their will; like
in jail or imprisoned?
